Welcome and Community: ASCape warmly invites Autistic and socially anxious teens to join a vibrant and supportive environment where they can relax, share experiences and have fun. This youth club is envisioned as a safe haven where every individual is valued and encouraged to express themselves, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual respect.
Session Structure: Each Tuesday brings a familiar routine that begins with friendly introductions and a gentle check-in, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and supported from the very start. This introductory phase sets a positive tone for the evening while ensuring that the group remains connected and engaged.
Engaging Activities and Refreshments: After a moment of shared conversation, a snack time allows participants to refuel. Following this, members are presented with a choice of activities available throughout the Centre. This flexible approach ensures that the club is truly by the teens and for the teens, as they are encouraged to suggest and even contribute resources for the activities they enjoy the most.
Empowerment and Inclusion: The Teens Youth Club is dedicated to creating an atmosphere where Autistic and socially anxious individuals can build confidence, forge new friendships and discover the joy of being part of a community. There is no need to book in advance just pop in and become part of a regular gathering that champions acceptance, equality and active participation.
